A wooden pen with a premium, figured Tochigi (Japanese horse chestnut) wood shaft.
Finished with lacquer coating, it has a wet-look gloss that cannot be achieved with oil or wax finishes. The wood grain also appears three-dimensional.

Hardware is available for both ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils. It can also be sold without hardware. In this case, the price will be reduced by 3,000 yen. KATO 201 or 202 hardware is compatible.

Notes:
■ This pen is finished with the same paint as musical instruments. Therefore, the handling is the same as a lacquer-finished guitar, but I will write it down because I think many people don't know.

・Dents
Lacquer is easily scratched and will dent if dropped or if it comes into contact with a hard object. The clip area is likely to dent even with care. Please understand that this is the nature of the product.

・Chemical Reaction
Lacquer can react with rubber products and chemical products such as thinner, leaving marks on the contact surface. Putting it in a pen case with other writing instruments may cause a reaction with the rubber.

・Cracks
Cracks may appear on the painted surface if there are sudden temperature changes. Also, cracks may naturally appear after using it for more than a decade, but we hope you will enjoy it as part of the character of the lacquer finish. Vintage guitars have these kinds of cracks, and new guitars that reproduce this are also on sale.

・Care
We recommend polishing with a musical instrument cloth that does not contain silicone and a lacquer-compatible polish.
