Vintage MCM 1980 Abstract Oil Painting on Board Original Signed Vivian Lowe

Wow! There is something about this Vintage 1980 Abstract Oil Painting that I can not help but to keep looking at it. Maybe it’s the organic quality of the abstraction itself? It almost feels alien to me. Perhaps it’s the way the colored part seems to burst through the background? Or, maybe it’s the colors themselves and the way they’re built up in layers. Check out the close up photos I took. They don’t do this piece justice.

This painting clearly is eye catching. It would undoubtedly be a conversation piece at your next get-together or party. The painting measures 31 x 27 with a modern offset framing that sits close to the painting. There is a small dime-sized scrape of the top layer of board in the upper left corner. It is only noticeable very close up, but because the painting is abstract it isn’t obvious it’s a scrape and not part of the painting. It doesn’t detract from the impact or quality of the painting.
