4"x 2" silvered brass handle and frame holding a superb color celluloid with mirror on underside. Each side of handle marked "BB" likely for maker Bastian Bros. c. 1910. Well-dressed male adult pig has taken youngster pig to the wood pile, grasps the little pig's ear and prepares to spank him with branch. Top edge names "John C. Roth Packing Co. Cincinnati." Fabulous color. This is a rare find and with my research have not found any up for sale.
This item is antique and very hard to find. You may find one come up for action every few years. The mirror is in great condition with normal wear to the piece from age. It once had more silver to it when they first came out in the 1900's but has warn off from age. The side with the mirror still has some silver to it and the side with the logo it has worn off. This item is truly hard to find and perfect for antique collectors and advertising collectors. Please view all the pictures and message me with any questions.
