Description: Four original photographs of an F9F-6P Cougar photo recon jet with tail number 955 that crash landed on the Aircraft Carrier CVA-39 Lake Champlain on 1 August, 1955. It looks like the pilot (Lt. F. C. Marshall) missed with his tail hook and ran into the barrier/barricade netting. The two 8x10 prints, which are each different photos, are stamped on the back with official markings and the two 5x7s are not stamped but appear to show the plane prior to it hitting the netting.
Please review all of the included pictures as they are considered part of the description.
Condition: These photos are in very good condition with just a little edge wear. The rubber stamp that was used on the back of the 8x10s was not pressed evenly so it is a bit smudged but legible if you use both pics to decipher the information.
Measurements: Two photos measure approximately 8x10 inches and the other two measure approximately 5x7 inches.
