Pretty handled round serving tray from the Jean Pouyat pattern know as Oriental Birds. The Limoges Pouyat China Factory, established 1842, made high quality hand painted decorated and white undecorated porcelain pieces. This documented but rare pattern, hand painted with heron-like birds, Asian vases and chrysanthemums, exemplified the Chinoiserie style that was popular in the early 20th century. Nice true red detailing at edges and handles. 11.25” wide at handles. Made in Limoges France. Marked with both backstamps. Please note: some minor wear to pattern paint and a porcelain fold/discoloration on bottom rim. No chips, cracks or crazing.
